PC and MAC

Phoenix will work on both Window Computers for all operating systems and Apple MAC Computers.

While Phoenix is not directly compatible with the Leopard Operating System which is the Apple MAC, we do have many users now converted to and happily running Phoenix on an Apple system.

There are a few Options for utilizing Phoenix onto an Apple computer:-

1. CrossOver:  This software is the cheapest option at around $40 (30 day free trial). We have not experienced any issues with it nor any issues reported back to us from clients however we have not completed comprehensive testing.  It’s easier to set up and cheaper than the Virtual Windows and you do not need to purchase a copy of Windows.  If you only have Phoenix that requires Windows then this could be your best choice.
2. Running  Windows in a Virtual Environment: (Parallels, Boot camp, Fusion), Ranges in price from about $ 110  however you will also need to purchase a copy of the Windows to load onto it. Our experience has been that it works seamlessly and is a good option if you have other software that needs to run in Windows.  

• Parallels and Fusion run a full copy of Windows in a virtual computer environment under the Mac OSX.
• When running Boot camp, your machine is running as either a Mac or Windows machine and as such does not have access to both environments at the same time. Boot camp is included in OSX 10.6 and later, but you still need a copy of Windows.

1. Phoenix Live:  This is a hosted service that you can connect to directly from a Mac without requiring Windows. It requires an above average internet connection and priced from $59/month.  You never have to pay for software upgrades while using the Phoenix Live service or backup data etc, we do all of the maintenance for you.  It’s accessible from any computer anywhere that has strong internet connectivity.  Any number of users can have secure access to your books through this service (extra cost for simultaneous access) at no extra cost.  It can be run on iPads and other devices and thus accessed in the field and while travelling etc.
